“Rahel has been training me twice a week on my sitting room floor for three years. I can honestly say I have never been stronger and fitter in my whole life – and I am 65. I hate gyms and had lacked any motivation to exercise before, but now I am proud and rather amazed by what she has helped me achieve. Training with Rahel is always a varied sequence of different exercises which keep every session interesting. Legs, arms, abs, cardio – boxing, weights, ball balancing. She’s always coming up with new combinations. Twinges in specific muscles are expertly managed. I had a troublesome elbow which has disappeared. She is more knowledgeable than many a physio and has taught me a lot about how my muscular system works. That understanding is very empowering.
She is a wise friend, an inspirational teacher and a great motivator. A few days ago, little old granny – me – was in the Ionian Sea, hauling in the anchor of a 50 foot ketch. “Rahel has been training me for 8 years and I hope she will continue to do so for the next 8, and more. She is an essential part of my life and my most important investment. I am fitter and stronger than I have ever been. In the last six months, Rahel has excelled in two special objectives for me. The first was my 70th birthday, when she created a specific diet and exercise regime that meant I stepped on to the dance floor in a fabulously fitting dress, and boogied the night away, occasionally being flung through the air by my reckless son. Not only that, Rahel came shopping with me, and when I tried on the dress, a man sitting on the pouffes for bored partners outside the dressing rooms exclaimed, ‘That’s the one!’ And applauded. The second plan was a skiing holiday, only booked a month in advance. “Having put on a few pounds during lockdown I looked into ways to feel a little more body positive. A friend recommended Rahel for her knowledge and experience in Nutrition Coaching.
After an hour introduction chat where we discussed goals and a little background on each other I signed up to a 13 week course. We set up calorie targets against my goals, tracked everything in an app and did weekly coaching calls to run through how the previous week had been, discussed progress and made changes along the way.
Working with Rahel has been a pleasure, she has so much knowledge to share on diet and nutrition and is always full of energy and life. “I have been training with Rahel since April, when I was watching her calisthenics moves I never thought I would be able to do any of these movements, but after only few months I can do so many of moves, being able to be upside down, doing skin the cat which is my favourite.
