Breakfast can be as simple or elaborate as you’d like; my best advice is to make sure it’s close to nature and brimming with vitamins. Pomegranate seeds are a wonderful way to add a lot of flavour, hydration and nutrients into any dish.
INGREDIENTS:
- 250g Total 0%
- 100-125g pomegranate seeds
- a sachet of chia seeds.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix chia seeds into your yoghurt the evening before, cover the bowl with cling film and place in the fridge. In the morning, add the seeds of a freshly cleaned pomegranate and mix it all together. What a wonderfully easy breakfast this is!
Even if you don’t wish to use chia seeds (I don’t always as they’re still a source of fat, so need to be accounted for), a pot of high protein yoghurt with some fresh fruit is a nutritious and filling treat that is perfect for any time of the day. Most importantly, a simple healthy dessert like this one will provide an even release of energy over several hours and therefore keeps your fuller for longer and helps you avoid unnecessary snacking.
